Catedral is the largest ski area in the southern hemisphere.

It is is one of two in the Bariloche area.

A view from a postcard.
Going up on the first of the two lifts to the top

a Condor gracefully soars around and around above the cable of our lift.

The air at 7000 feet is pure and thin.

The Bariloche area has been a haven for skiers for many years. Oddly, skating and other winter sports are all but unheard of.
Notice the hawk on the rock peak.
A snapshot of a panoramic mural on the wall of the cable car building. It shows a sundeck at one of the several lodges along the summit ridge.
